Work Experience

Two Particular Acres – Royersford, PA

Farm Hand

I’ve been working at TPA (Two Particular Acres) for the past four summers now and there is a reason I keep going back. TPA is a compost farm that also grows crops such as garlic, popcorn, potatoes, pumpkins, and barley. I have completed a wide variety of tasks like planting, cultivating, weeding, and harvesting crops, to mowing the grass, building greenhouses, picking up compostable materials from local vendors to bailing hay. I’ve learned many life skills working at TPA that will stay with me for the rest of my life.

Firebirds Wood Fired Grill – Collegeville, PA

Guest Assistant

Before starting at Firebirds as a GA (Guest Assistant), I had previous restaurant experience but this restaurant was different. The people were genuine, the managers cared about you and the customers were happy to be there. While at Firebirds I had many different tasks because I was at the bottom of the totem pole. My duties included cleaning off dirty tables, setting up the dining room for guests, taking out the trash, cleaning the bathroom and running food to customers. As time went on I got more responsibilities, I was the lead trainer for GA’s and the closer most nights. that means I stayed this closing time to make sure everything was ready for the next day of service.

Panevino Catering – Reading, PA

Server

Panevino is a restaurant in Reading, PA who provides catering services to a wide variety of special occasions. I have been apart of dinner parties, weddings, and a high school prom. Duties included transport of materials to catering location, setting up catering hall, I would help the head chef with food preparations too. Serving hors-d’oeuvres, main courses, and desserts to guests. Along with cleaning everything up at the end of the night.

Neighborhood Services – Collegeville, PA

Part-Owner

My brothers and I started a small neighborhood business to make some cash and to help out our neighbors. It started out with walking dogs, which we had at most 6 clients. It turned into more when we started washing cars, landscaping, dog/cat sitting, and moving furniture. I was in charge of the financials, keeping track of all the money coming in and paying all of my brothers for their work.
