Introduction to SQL
I attended the Intro to SQL zoom session led by Dr. Vazi Okhandiar and sponsored by NR Computer Learning Center. In this zoom workshop Dr. Okhandiar gave a lecture about the structure of SQL and how it is used to create databases and access data. She created a database with us and showed how to then enter data into the database. I learned about free resources that I can use to study SQL. I also learned that SQL is used in practice to access data from a database. This makes SQL a very valuable language that can have many uses within business for analytics and with the boom of big data that will continue to happen, the use cases for a language like SQL continue to evolve. I learned a bit about the SQL syntax (how you have to end with );) and that you can create tables that hold data using SQL. You can also adjust those tables.
