This is an excellent learning experience because it’s not only high stakes which increases nerves and competition but it also is a chance to test my presentation skills outside the classroom.
The BYOBB is the ultimate test for a MIS student because it’s based off a lot of the content we learn about in many of our classes. The pitch is about finding a problem, developing a business case for solving it, and presenting that to a team of judges. I feel that the courses I took in the MIS department helped me prepare for this competition.
