With an investment in the content management system (CMS) WordPress, our company will increase the productivity of our web developers and produce a net benefit of $2,451,000 in three years. WordPress allows for the creation of any type of website, and also has the ability to quickly integrate a wide variety of plugins to eliminate time spent on coding. By implementing WordPress, our company would be able to cut costs by reducing the headcount of our web developers by seven.
The key capability of WordPress is that there is a plethora of plugins available to developers that can be easily implemented into a website. This would allow our WordPress developers to increase their efficiency by 77.8% in comparison to our old system. For instance, using plugins for less important features to our website, such as our contact forms, would allow our developers to finish projects faster. Instead of being required to code an entire website, our WordPress development team can utilize plugins as well as their coding expertise to efficiently finish projects.
By implementing WordPress our company would avoid a three-year total cost of $2,625,000 by reducing the headcount of our web development team by seven. We would incur a three-year cost of $174,000 to purchase the hardware, software, train the developers, and provide yearly maintenance on the system. After the implementation of WordPress our company would produce a total net benefit of $2,451,000 in three years.
