Takeaways from AIS Technical Development Track
The new technical development track is one of my favorite things that AIS has added to their schedule since I joined. The track consists of Friday meetings where an industry professional discusses a certain hot-topic in the field of data and information systems. Then, students meet again the following Saturday to go through a workshop where they get hands-on experience with a program relating to that topic. One of the most interesting meetings that I recall involved both augmented and virtual reality, including getting a video to play on a dollar bill that you hold up in front of a camera! This track helped to expand my knowledge of topics not normally covered in the classroom, and I would definitely recommend it for all incoming MIS students.
