Lessons from Data Scientists

  1. Name of sponsoring organization- LinkedIn Learning
  2. Details of the activity-  Various data scientists explaining aspects of how data helps them and the ways it can be used to gain valuable information about a topic and during decision making.
  3. What you learned- Different ways to manage or interpret data to make it more concise and clearer to read, such as taking a crowded excel spreadsheet and creating some sort of simple graph or imagery to try to convey points that you are trying to make to others. Seeing is believing, so the importance of having things like that in an easily portrayable way can help to make your arguments more clear.
  4. How the activity relates to coursework or your career goals- Presenting data in a convincing way is something that I’ve had to do in the past, so learning new ways as to how to make it more “presentable” and easier to read will definitely by useful
