MIS 4596 Final Project – DDesignate
For the final project of our MIS Capstone class, our team was tasked with applying IT and innovative thinking to solve a business problem or propose a new product/ service. In this final project, we have been applying a variety of skills and knowledge that we have gained from previous courses at Temple, as well as had the ability to learn and expand on these skills. Perhaps the most important class that we have relied upon was our Project Management course. In this class, we learned a lot about creating and managing projects, as well as how to stay organized and on track through appropriate documentation. This project gave us an excellent chance to apply these skills as we attempted to design and create an effective solution to a major problem. Another class that has helped was our Digital Design and Innovation Studio. Here, we learned how to develop interactive prototypes to help illustrate our IT solutions. For our project, we were able to expand our knowledge on application design through our creation of the Ddesignate app. Overall, from this final project I have learned and expanded my knowledge on a lot of valuable skills such as project management, prototype design, innovative solution development, and financial / industry analysis.
