Vanguard IT EXPLORE Day
On January 24, I attended Vanguard\’s IT EXPLORE Day, hosted at Vanguard\’s Malvern campus. EXPLORE Days aim to expose college students to life at Vanguard. The day consisted of panel discussions, a group creative thinking activity, a networking lunch with IT professionals, and a career expo.
I had the privilege of learning about employment opportunities at Vanguard and got to see for myself a day in the life of an employee. The panel discussion was focused on emerging technologies and how they affect the panelists\’ positions, how the panelists came to work at Vanguard and why they stayed, and how their careers have evolved over time. The IT department drives Vanguard\’s business model, so it would be an honor to work there someday.
