VOLUNTEER
In January of 2020, I began two exciting new volunteering projects: the Optimize Consulting Group and Stepping Stone Scholars. I am happy to finally be making an impact in the Philadelphia community, and look forward to continuing to do so!
Optimize Consulting Group consists of 4 Associate Project Managers (my position), 2 Project Managers, and 1 Principal. We are working with the Youth Volunteer Corps of Philadelphia to select and build a database suitable to store and manage their donor information. We hope to create a database that provides insights into what kind of events certain donors give to so that YVC can target their communications. In the Fall semester, we will be working on building a social media plan so that YVC can better reach its audience.
Stepping Stone Scholars is a non-profit that organizes after school clubs for educationally underserved communities. I am participating in a small group (6 students) that designed an after-school coding club for the students of Duckrey Elementary School, located a few blocks from Temple’s Main Campus. We are currently working with the students once a week for 4 weeks to teach them the fundamentals of code. This has been an incredibly rewarding experience, and I hope it inspire further opportunities for Fox students to get involved in our community.
