Hostess
I was employed as a hostess in two upscale steakhouses in New Jersey: The Library II Steakhouse and Rodizio Brazilian Steakhouse. As a hostess, I:
- Greeted guests and patrons personally and on the telephone
- Offered appropriate seating arrangements
- Presented menus and take orders
- Ensured the quantity of menus is sufficient to cater to the number of guests
- Relayed orders to the kitchen and ensured all orders are filled in a timely and accurate fashion
- Set up dining rooms and made reservation arrangements
- Maintained clean and organized tables and work area
- Assisted room service when and as needed
- Managed event related work including setting up tables and maintaining both exterior and interior of the restaurant
- Managed a healthy and productive relationship between the bar, dining area, and kitchen
