Free Library Workshop
Through MIS 3504, taught by James Moustafellos, I became involved with the Free Library Workshop, a project to assist the Free Library system of Philadelphia. This project involved several hours at a Free Library branch helping members of one particular branch (the Tacony location) better understand the needs and strengths of their location.
I felt privileged to be involved, and I believe my efforts were helpful to my team members. By facilitating discussion and offering an objective view of the branch, I gave both library employees and the artist dedicated to that branch a fresh perspective. As the Free Library system implements renovation at the Tacony branch in the near future, I can take comfort in knowing my facilitation helped make it happen.
