Below is a list of just some of my interests beyond the academic and professional realms.

Space
This one is apparent elsewhere on my blog. I take pleasure in all things space, from Martian geology (areology?) to astronaut bone regeneration. I take particular interest in planetary exploration.

Sociology
Within a consumer purchasing context or even a war zone, the study of what drives our behavior is very fascinating to me. I’m currently looking into emergent behavior in artificial systems such as that seen within internet traffic and Wikipedia.

Surprisingly, the study of “what-if” scenarios has helped educate me about many real issues.
