Developing Your Professional Image in a New Job
I took this course that I found helpful because I will be transitioning to the work environment. The course discusses how the job environment looks different, so you will face challenges and will not know everything at first. In the face of challenges, developing resilience is important. The course focused on the first three months of a job and how to make the right first impression. Something that is essential is taking note of organizational culture and developing a professional image that fits with it. It reiterated for me that I have to research and ask questions to learn about a company’s culture and if it is actually the right company to work in.
