Fox Spring Career Fair Spring 23
On February 3rd, I participated in my very first in-person career fair. Before the Career Fair, I did a lot of research about the companies I am interested in and filtered the ones which would accept OPT/CPT. During the career fair, I went straight to the tables of these companies and introduced myself and asked about possible opportunities they might offer and asked more detailed questions. I think from this career fair, I learned that you just have to put yourself out there and try to make a connection with everyone. Even if they don’t have anything you might be looking for, it is still a good way to connect with them and ask them about future opportunities. I like this Career fair a lot because it includes a lot of different roles and are not just limited to IT. But these companies also offer more roles that does a mix of IT and business like product manager, sales in the IT industry and etc. So I think getting to know what qualifications companies are looking for, can help me understand why we need to learn some of the skills in school and further prepare us when we are graduating.
