Data Science ITA
This is my first semester serving as an Information Technology Assistant for the MIS 0855: Data Science course. I find this experience to be very interesting and rewarding, as I assist nearly 60 students in the understanding and reinforcement of course topics. As an MIS professional these are very interesting as they cover topics such as Data Visualization, Big Data, Sentiment Analysis, Tableau, and Excel.
Through this experience, I have learned how to effectively communicate and explain advanced concepts to students in a clear, concise manner in order to guarantee comprehension. I was also able to brush up and expand my own Tableau and Excel skills through the process of teaching, hosting review sessions, and holding weekly office hours. I have loved being able to share my knowledge and learn from other students and ITA’s in the department.
