IBIT Small Group Meeting with Industry Professional
This past Spring I had the opportunity to meet Himesh Bhise, President and CEO of Synacor. It was so interesting to hear about a successful company in the software industry and the different operational elements of the business. It was especially interesting to hear about his personal experience, and the advice he was able to offer. I was able to learn about his experience,struggle, and success that come with being a CEO of a company. As an MIS professional, it was interesting to learn about what jobs are available post graduation and how MIS is continuously being channeled in the workforce. He spoke about the importance of certain topics we discuss in class, such as Data Analytics, and how these topics/fields are continuing to grow and expand, and how important it is to stay on top of all these changes/be adaptable in the workplace.
