No more endless copying and pasting data from websites for data collection!

For anyone interested in learning how to scrape large amount of data from websites without any coding, this workshop will introduce WebScrapter.io, a free web scraper tool that is great for collecting organized data (i.e. Wikipedia page and discussion forum). Through hands-on demonstrations, attendees will have the opportunity to explore how to create sitemaps and set up pagination to scrape data across multiple pages using a web scraper tool, whether that is for academic research or personal projects. Additionally, this workshop will also introduce legal and ethical considerations for web scraping.

No prior experience with web scraper tools or coding is required. Attendees are encouraged to bring a laptop to participate in the activities.
