Mapping and Data Visualization with Python

As proof of attendance, Have;

  • 2 screenshots with your name visible (either show your name logged into your computer on split screen or log into canvas or your portfolio and show that).   
    • 1 with the date and time from the start of the session.
    • 1 with the date and time from the end of the session.

  • You will not get approved without the above, no exceptions.
  • You need to stay the entire time and the time attended will be checked with the host.

This hands-on workshop introduces participants to creating interactive maps and visualizing geospatial data using Python, with a focus on the powerful leafmap library. Learn to build dynamic, web-based maps that can handle large datasets, satellite imagery, and real-time data visualization. The session covers data import from various sources, interactive widgets for data exploration, time-series visualization, and integration with popular Python libraries like pandas and geopandas. Participants will create professional-quality interactive maps suitable for research presentations, web applications, and data storytelling.

This workshop will be offered as an online session via Zoom. You must register for this workshop to receive the Zoom link via a confirmation email. On the day of the workshop, use the link to join the session.
