Overview

Professional Achievement Badges

Professional development is about industry experiences, career knowledge, leadership, communication skills, ability to work in a team, and readiness for the workplace. Professional development is different from academic achievement, both are important. Employers today expect that hires will have the skills and knowledge to perform their job and the relevant career experiences, communication skills, and leadership to hit the ground running. Graduates with a high level of professional development can apply learning to practice and are ready to achieve workplace success. Academic achievement is measured by GPA, professional development is measured by professional achievement (PRO) points.

The key elements of PRO are:

  1. 1000 PRO points minimum graduation requirement.
  2. Showcase professional development on a portfolio that displays professional achievements.
  3. Gain recognition through badges, certificates, leaderboards, and awards.
  4. High performers receive exclusive opportunities to engage with industry executives, recruiter referrals, and to participate in events.
  5. Use Reward points at the Points store to purchase swag.

PRO consists of:

  • Professional Achievement (PRO) points: Earn PRO points for professional development activity (e.g., participating in competitions, internships).
  • Portfolio: A personalized web portfolio that showcases your professional development.
