- Cyber Security Information Risk Intern – NJ Transit
- My role in my internship was to support the cyber security team such as reviewing company policies as well as going to weekly meetings to go over what we all did that week. We worked close with the CISO where he taught us many important cyber security topics and gave us very valuable career advice.
- Worked with the full-time employees in the compliance department where I updated very out of date compliance policies to prepare the documents required for the upcoming audit at the time. I also got the chance to speak in the board room at the NJ Transit headquarters where the entire IT department was in attendance about what I did during my time at NJ Transit.
- I learned a ton of important cyber security topics such as data and asset security and learned about the PCI compliance world by reviewing the NJ Transit PCI policies. This relates to my courses because this semester I am taking the Cyber Security course and I feel that this internship has put me in a great position to succeed in this upcoming course.
