Getting Started In User Experience

In this course, Instructor Chris Nodder who is User Researcher, Author, and Interaction Design Specialist talks about several aspects of starting User Experience (UX). He briefly explained what is User Experience, what the Job Market looks like as well as the importance of collaborating with colleagues. He spoke about the different teams that you may interact with as a person in the User Experience field. He gave an insight into the roles and responsibilities of interaction designers who would mostly focus on the users’ needs as well as visual designers who sketch and think of the visual representations. He also suggested numerous software tools that help visual designers implement the visuals. Some of these tools included FIGMA, Sketch, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator. He also emphasized that it is important for persons within the UX industry to know about HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as they interact with developers. While you do not need to be proficient at it, he mentions that you need to know enough to know when an idea can or cannot be implemented because of its complexity.
