My professional experience consists of my work at Sesame Place, StayLocal.co, and Dynasty Sports.
As an Aquatics Trainer, I was responsible for training lifeguards to the American Red Cross standard, filing their paperwork, and processing the data from their certifications. This position was my first real introduction to using Excel. I began using Excel here before I had taken the mandatory Excel course as part of Temple’s curriculum, and the power that gave me to manipulate the employee data blew my mind. Since then, I use Excel and Google Sheets for just about every type of record keeping in my life.
As an intern for StayLocal.co, I worked as a content curator to create, maintain, and manage content on the site. Through my time there, I also got my hands dirty with other projects including the creation of a Shopify site to form a marketplace that would be accessible to sellers that are too small or not technologically savvy enough to create their own online store.
At Dynasty Sports one of my main responsibilities is to maintain the Shopify webstore. My experience with StayLocal.co helped to prepare me in the usage of Shopify which allows me to provide value to the company. One of my largest projects for Dynasty Sports was to overhaul the barcodes in the system to make them Google Shopping compliant. This project involved updating over 15,000 products .
