IMA-T
IMA-T is an accounting and finance organization whose goal is to promote various industry/corporate roles to students within the professional field of accounting/finance as well as promote the CMA certification. I joined IMA’s Temple chapter, during my freshman year, when I attended meetings where I got to meet business professionals. I also attended various networking and community service events.
Director of Member Relations
August 2020-May 2021
During the Spring semester of 2020 I applied and was nominated for the officer role of Director of Member Relations. As Director of Member Relations my responsibilities include recruiting and informing members. There are roughly 25 plus members apart of IMA-T and it is my responsibility to update and remind them all of the weekly meetings and various discussion panels, networking events, and community service events held by IMA-T. I am also responsible for all the social media platforms of IMA-T. I am continuing this role into the 2020-2021 school year.
Vice President
May 2021- Current
During the Spring semester of 2021 I applied and was nominated for the officer role of Vice President. As Vice President I am responsible for sending out weekly email blasts to keep our members informed of any important event not only for IMA but for the accounting department in general. Also, along with the president I also have the responsibility of reaching out to company representatives to see if they would be interested in speaking with our members during our bi-weekly meetings. Finally I also in charge of making sure our organization is within good standing with the Temple program called STARS, I do this by attending monthly meetings, attending workshops to better improve the members experience and, updating important documents like our org’s constitution. I am also responsible for all the social media platforms of IMA-T. I am continuing this role into the 2020-2021 school year.
