Doing vulnerability assessment for vulnerability management is beneficial for cybersecurity. It helps an organization understand any weakness that could cause their systems to fall prey to “bad actors.” Vulnerability research is needed to gather information about threats and security trends while, vulnerability assessments help an organization find out what points of the systems can be exploited. Implementing security measures based on the finding from the assessments helps make the organizations systems less susceptible to threats.
This related to my career goals as I would like to work in the Cybersecurity field. I would also like to continue my education with an MS in Cybersecurity.
