Personal Journal Entry (Week ending 10-17-14)
Over the past week (particularly Sunday), the project team was able to formulate concrete next steps regarding the project. The team was finally able to get questions answered by Professor Flanagan, which made the scope of the project less ambiguous. My personal contributions to the team involved coaching the BAs on the process of brainstorming and formulating potential ideas for improving the e-commerce presence of Somerville Lumber. On Sunday, I was able to sit with the team as they brainstormed and I also provided insight into last semester’s brainstorming process. As the team was brainstorming, I made certain that everyone stayed on topic and within scope, and also provided some ideas for an e-commerce site. My individual contribution was the idea of introducing a quoting functionality to the e-commerce customer experience.
We will be meeting with the team again for our weekly meeting on Sunday, October 19th to discuss answers received from Professor Flanagan.
