Aftersales Supply Chain Operations Intern
Main responsibilities:
- Rotate across three Aftersales Operations areas: Exports, Parts Information Center, and Procurement/Planning;
- Develop analysis and reports on supply chain operational activities.
- Work with SMEs to document and create workflow diagrams for 3 areas of service parts operations.
- Assess performance of key logistics service providers and identify areas for improvement.
- Compile reports on potential backorders and notify the team of any shortages.
- Assist and collaborate with different teams to innovate and streamline processes.
- Design presentations for executive meetings.
- Support teams with ad-hoc assignments.
What I Learned?
From this internship, I have learned that communication is key, and it’s also important to catch up with your colleagues occasionally to get to know them on a personal level. In addition, most problems in business do not have a clear cut answer, so collaboration is also an important factor in the success of every project. As a part of the company, it is required of you to be mindful of the company’s culture. Lastly, in a business with many layers of management like Subaru, it is crucial to keep everyone informed of any changes or decisions.
