Read Between the Lines: Decoding Charts and Graphs in the News
I attended the workshop “Read Between the Lines: Decoding Charts and Graphs in the News,” offered by Temple University Libraries during National News Literacy Week, which equipped participants with skills to critically analyze charts, graphs, and statistics in news stories for accuracy and bias. The session emphasized questioning visual data representations and making informed judgments about the information shaping public discourse. This activity directly supports my MIS coursework in data visualization and analytics at Temple University, while enhancing my career goals by sharpening my ability to interpret and communicate data insights effectively in consulting and business intelligence roles.
