The webinar took place on November 18th, 2020 from 11 am -12 pm. The speaker for the event was Larry Dignan, Global Editor in Chief at ZDNet. Mr.Dignan talked about how every major company is trying to do a remote-hybrid workplace by December next year. One of the main reason behind this change is due to the overhead costs that these companies will save by going to a remote online workplace. Industries like sales and marketing will save a fortune on excessive expenses by going online. He also talked about what employers are looking for in a potential employee. The ones that are/were able to manage working from home effectively and also help produce different ideas regarding improvements will be the employer’s first choice while hiring. Mr.Dignan also talked about how CEO’s & CIO’s of these big corporations are not shying away from the fact that going remote completely can help increase the profits and revenues. He also talked about how the pandemic has caused this revolution in remote working and from now on, the culture would be different in these big companies as it would be more spread out.
