Winning First Place in the Deloitte Consulting Federal Technology Case Competition
I participated in the Deloitte Consulting Federal Technology Case Competition with Ronan Gleeson and Shawn Biju. As a team, we analyzed FEMA’s problems with resource allocation and recommended an innovative technical solution with a focus on data management, financial allocation, and logistics. Our product came in the form of a Powerpoint presentation which we presented to a panel of judges. This was a valuable experience for me as an MIS professional because it gave me first-hand consulting experience. I learned that brainstorming as a group is more effective than tackling a large problem individually. In addition, I learned how important it is to visualize solutions effectively, as this can often make or break a presentation.
