IBIT Small Group Meeting with Industry
This past spring semester, I had the opportunity to meet with James Rhee, CEO of Ashley Stewart for an IBIT small group meeting. This meeting was valuable for me because as an MIS professional, I not only need to develop hard skills but soft skills as well. When talking to industry executives like James Rhee, rather than spending all their time talking about hard skills, they offer life and business advice as well. I learned from James to stay hopeful regardless of the situation. Even though James hit close to rock bottom multiple times, he continued to overcome the obstacles that came his way and refused to give up. Looking at him now, I see the potential that I can achieve if I remain hopeful and press on.
