Associate Analyst

I was part of the Metro Communications Ministry at my church, Metro. I automated the Facebook and Instagram account workflows using Google Sheets and Google Docs. I also recorded and analyzed Facebook and Instagram metrics through MS Excel on a weekly basis. In addition, I updated the Communications team through hour-long video calls on a bi-weekly basis

This part-time position is preparing me for a future in consulting by helping me develop effective communication skills. Because I work with other team members, I communicate with them either individually on a daily or weekly basis or as a group on a bi-weekly basis. These conversations and meetings help me develop a better ability to communicate with people of all different ages and backgrounds which will be essential when I consult others in the future.

I also learned how to leverage Excel to meet the ministry’s needs as well. Although I came into this ministry with no prior experience in Excel, my director, Guirae Jang, taught me simple yet powerful ways to use Excel effectively. I thoroughly enjoy learning, especially when it comes to learning being a more effective student and future IT consultant or project manager.
