On Campus Involvement

Temple Undergraduate Research Forum and Creative Works Symposium (TURF-CreWS)

In my Honors Sports in Society class, I wrote a research paper titled “Concussion Issues In American Football and The Rugby Tackling Technique”. For the paper, I had to do extensive research on concussions in football players and how the rugby tackling technique can alleviate the concussions issue. To thoroughly research the subject, I used a wide variety of sources such as journals, newspaper articles, books, videos, and documentaries. I also used Temple University’s information databases to get a variety of perspectives on the subject. My extensive and thorough research aided my writing process, as I incorporated five scholarly sources, with popular sources such as ESPN to strengthen my evidence and demonstrate my paper’s hypothesis. My paper received recognition as I was invited to present my research paper at the annual TURF-CreWS, where only 150 students were invited to demonstrate their research. Afterward, I answered questions from the audience, Temple students and educators, about my research project. For more details, click here.

Temple Alumni Association

I volunteer for Temple Alumni Association prior to and during Temple home football game tailgates. As a volunteer, I have to prepare and set up tents for on campus organizations prior to the tailgates. During the tailgates, I am assign to multiple different tasks such as engaging the football fans at the tailgates, providing support for the alumni staffs, and assisting people with general questions.
