Tapp Network

As a project management intern at Tapp Network, I am able to transform the workflow of the Software Development team to enhance productivity and deliver high-quality project on-time.

Prior to me joining Tapp, the Software Development team mainly managed project through GitHub and Google Doc. It uses the Google Doc to create its scope of work document and GitHub to keep track of where they are in the project. Although the team has been fine with this method, it lacks a concrete documentation system that team members can discuss with clients and hold each other accountable. When I started, I immediately started talking to and eliciting key details from stakeholders to complete a standard set of documentations that Tapp Network can use in future projects.

With a standard set of 10 documentations, the Software Development team now has the ability to review key details about the project and facilitate meaningful discussion with clients. The Chief Architect Officer was particularly impressed by the implementation of a RACI chart because now he can assign responsibilities to team members and know exactly who is accountable for each part of the project. I even go above and beyond what is required and recommended LaRecipe to the Chief Architect Officer. By implementing LaRecipe, a Laravel package, I can create beautiful documentations for a project inside a Laravel application. Therefore, our software developers and Chief Architect Officer did not even have to log in to Google Doc to retrieve the documentations; they can just download the project from GitHub and start viewing the documentations immediately.

As one can see, the implementation of LaRecipe removes the bottleneck for developers of having to find a specific project’s documentations among many other documents in the Google Drive, especially because the developers at Tapp usually work on multiple projects at once. This allows the developers to instantaneously view the specific documentations as soon as they get the project from GitHub and start working immediately, thereby significantly increasing productivity. Furthermore, due to the sensitive nature of these documentations, I also implemented the necessary authentication to only allow administrators to view the documentations for the project.

Because I have had experience in Web Development and Content Management System (CMS), I am also involved in developing a modern and mobile-responsive website on WordPress for a non-profit organization to attract more visitors. Using the OceanWP theme and Elementor, I am able to quickly develop high quality, visually appealing, and mobile-responsive webpages for the internal client. First, I set up the meeting with the client to gain valuable insights into her vision and key requirements of the project. Using the Agile Method, I continue to meet with the client after every sprint to gather important feedback and implement necessary changes to satisfy the client. This project is currently in progress so please check back frequently for additional changes.
