Becoming Indistractable

This LinkedIn Learning module helped me understand how to better manage distractions. This can first be approached by working to understand what distractions you are weak to and how your attention could be stolen. After this, it is important to plan out when it is okay to become distracted. Setting aside time to do things like answer texts and calls makes it more difficult to mentally justify diverting your attention from what you are doing currently to do those things. It can also be beneficial to inform others when you can’t afford to be distracted to reduce the chance of interruption. This is something I have struggled with for a long time and having another perspective on how to address this problem will help me be more productive throughout my academic and professional career.
