Data Security Trends Impacting IT Auditing
In this presentation, the speaker talked about where people save their data, and how much of it is in the cloud. From this cloud, he talked about the third party clouds such as sales for and who has access to these clouds. Some of the risks in the cloud come from cloud misconfigurations such as unrestricted outbound access, disabling logs, or data encryption not being turned on. The speaker emphasized how trust is not control in the sense of insiders causing more data breaches. It was stated that 50.7% of companies that experienced a data breach allow full access to their companies data, rather than just allowing access to data needed to do their job.
