Insider Threat
This webinar essentially talked about what an insider threat is and who they can consist of, meaning they are not all for malicious purposes. Tim then talked about the motivation of insider threats, such as performing poorly on their job. One fact I thought was interesting is that it costs an organization upwards of $12 million due to insider incidents and that 67% of organizations experienced an insider attack within the last 12 months. Tim talked about some ways of insider threat prevention such as using behavior analytics, managing events, encryption, and much more.
