LIFT
Volunteer of the Semester
I was a client advocate with LIFT in North Philadelphia during the Spring of 2012. I helped several clients per week with editing resumes and cover letters, searching for employing, and applying for public benefits. I supported the organization by researching new opportunities and resources for LIFT’s clients as well as by participating in fundraising and community outreach events.
Ernst & Young CollegeMAP at Temple University
I was a tutor and classroom assistant for a high school level mathematics program aiming to prepare students from Philadelphia for SATs and for college coursework. I also supported the program by participating in planning and program development meetings throughout CollegeMAP’s first semester of operations.
