Opportunity Knocks: Wisdom From Recent Grads on Jobs and Internships – The Main Line Chamber Talent and Education Network
On February 9th, I attended the employer-led collaborative where I had the opportunity to network with other young job-seekers and employers including: CSL, Accenture, Essential Utilities and Aqua, Giant Food Stores, Independence Blue Cross, Lincoln Financial Group, PECO, and Philadelphia Insurance Company. The webinar began with a panel of four-recent grads who discussed their tips for a successful job search, questions to ask during an interview, and how to stand out as a candidate. In the second-half of the webinar, we attended small groups to learn from recruiters about making career changes, building a portfolio, and what a successful employee at their companies looks like. I appreciated being able to grow my network in a live-format, as well as see how Temple alumni are doing professionally post-graduation.
