Thinkful Webinar Replay || Intro To Data Analytics: Tableau Basics
On Wednesday, February 15, I attended the replay of “Intro to Data Analytics” by Thinkful. The webinar gave an introduction to Tableau, a data visualization software, and discussed best practices. I learned about the skills needed to enter the data analytics industry (technical, academic, and soft), as well as the pipeline used in data analytics: Define a question or goal > collect the right data > data cleaning/wrangling > manipulate the datum analyze and interpret > present your findings. I discovered other data visualization tools aside from Tableau that I had not heard of before, such as Looker, Google Data Studio, and Big Query. In regards to Tableau, I learned about the two types of analysis styles (static reporting and ad hoc investigation).
