Business Analytics Foundations: Predictive, Prescriptive, and Experimental Analytics
I completed the “Business Analytics Foundations: Predictive, Prescriptive, and Experimental Analytics” LinkedIn Learning course to build on my understanding of business data to forecast future trends and optimize decision-making. This LinkedIn Learning course was taught by Kumaran Ponnambalam, a business analytics professional with over 20 years of experience. The course explores three advanced analytics techniques. Predictive analytics dives into methods for anticipating future events. I learned how to leverage data to forecast sales, customer behavior, and market trends, which can give a business a crucial edge. Prescriptive analytics explores how to translate those forecasts into actionable recommendations. I learned about different techniques that suggest optimal courses of action based on data analysis. Experimental analytics equipped me with skills on how to test and validate the effectiveness of those recommendations. I learned how to design and conduct A/B tests and other experiments to measure the impact of different decisions on business goals. This course empowers us with the knowledge to transform data into a roadmap for future success, enabling data-driven decision-making across organizations.
