IT Technical Intern
The summer of 2019, I completed a 9-week internship with Cape May Municipal Utilities Authority. I worked in a centralized IT department supporting and maintaining a wide range of hardware, software, and networking for the authority. I was responsible for the imaging and deployment of the annual endpoint refresh for over 150 users. I assisted in the documentation of the authority’s network infrastructure using Microsoft Visio. I used Spiceworks to manage the Helpdesk and to track inventory. With Sophos Central, I monitored anti-virus logs of over 150 endpoints and to control issues when a threat arose. Also, I assisted in the implementation of networking infrastructure including Dell VxRail at our 7 locations. In MIS 3406, I learned about VMware, virtual servers, and Amazon Web Services. This experience goes well with my courses because it gave me the chance to practice and experience what I have been learning at Temple University.
