In the Learning Design Thinking: Lead Change in your organization lesson, the goal was to learn what design thinking was. I learned that design thinking is making-based approach to problem solving that is rooted in human empathy and conducted by collaborative teams. I learned how to approach design thinking as well as the mindset you need to have to lead teams well. I learned about the challenges of design thinking as well as the skills needed to overcome these challenges. Examples of challenges consist of exhaustion, big picture paralysis, and overcontrol. Some skills include having confidence and being alert and present. I also learned how to guide creative collaboration through hypothesis generation, creating journey maps, and developing service blueprints.
