Where is the Data? Making Data Visualizations Accessible to All
I attended “Where is the Data? Making Data Visualizations Accessible to All” s workshop offered as part of Love Data Week 2026. The session focused on inclusive design principles and accessibility best practices for graphs, charts, dashboards, and infographics. Topics included effective color usage, clear labeling and descriptions, writing meaningful alternative text, and providing supplemental formats to ensure data is accessible to diverse audiences. The workshop also introduced tools and techniques to evaluate and improve accessibility in digital visualizations. through this session, I strengthened my understanding of how to design data-driven content that is not only visually compelling but also equitable, user-centered, and compliant with accessibility standards.
