Audit & Assurance Intern
This summer I was an audit and assurance intern at Deloitte in Philadelphia. During my internship, I had to evaluate internal controls and review client financial statements to make sure everything is presented accurately and in compliance with regulations. Specific items that I worked on this summer was reviewing the clients manual and automated controls. I also helped with the accounting analytics where we would analyze the fluctuations within the numbers and then explain why these fluxes happened. What I really enjoyed about this internship is that it combined information from both my MIS and Accounting major curriculums. I think for MIS specifically, the Data & Analytics course related the most to my internship because I worked with a lot of data this summer and understanding how these different platforms made it easier to sort through and analyze the data was key in my success during this internship.
