NYVA Healthcare Services
This Summer, I had the opportunity to work with NYVA Healthcare Services, a non-medical in-home healthcare agency headquartered in Philadelphia. My team- which consisted of Joe Pacitti, Alison Ebbecke, and myself- worked to increase client acquisitions, which had slowed down due to COVID. Our overarching goals were to give their website a makeover and to optimize their social media presence. Joe and I quickly noticed that our skills made dividing the work easy: I had experience working in UX design and WordPress, and he had experience working in social media optimization and SEO. I refreshed the website to take it away from the theme defaults: I rewrote all the copy to include SEO keywords, replaced stock images to increase diversity, and even created an online employment form to attract caregivers. I really enjoyed working with my team and the client, and highly value the experience I gained. This project gave me the chance to deepen my WordPress knowledge while helping a locally owned business in need, so that’s 10 days well spent if you ask me!
