Learning Excel 2021
I have always seen Excel as a requirement in many of the Jobs related to my major. I have even used Excel in classes such as Data Analytics, and Statistics, but it was with thorough guidance. My experience with Excel was never strong, and I have always felt behind when I see that employers require proficiency in excel with certain positions related to data science, or essentially almost every MIS related career position due to my weak knowledge of using it. The course was introductory, it was by Jess Stratton and she covered the basics of using the interface of Excel. I got to learn how to quickly move from one cell to another, finding a menu item, how to use formulas, and how data types affect these formulas, and AutoSum and what it can and can’t do. I also got familiar and comfortable with inserting and resizing cells, filtering data, and inserting charts. In general, this course was perfect for me as it introduced me to the basics and I am now more comfortable with utilizing Excel.
