Beginning in Fall 2014, I took the summer project to the next level. We launched the new HRM website, which is located here. After finalizing style and layout, the project will continue into the social media strategy set forth in the summer. this plan will involve the dissemination of department information to students through new channels, namely photo-based social media such as Instagram and Flickr.
The goal is to eventually place Fox HRM as the most socially integrated HR program in the United States. This is an ambitious goal we do not believe is insurmountable.
In addition to this, my duties include:
– Create and edit a point system to meet the needs of 250+ Human Resource degree students at Temple
– Engage students and faculty with entertaining video tutorials
– Enhance or create new social connections for Temple’s HRM department among students and alumni
– Design and implement a web-based feedback system to gain useful data on point system efficacy. This includes email surveys, site traffic analytics, and traditional interviews
The HRM internship is from June 2014 to August or September 2014. A traditional internship format was chosen; 10 hours per week were worked in the HRM offices at Temple Main under the supervision of Deborah Donato and Dr. Brooks-Lopez.

In the spring of 2014, I was offered the chance to work with Temple’s Human Resource Management department at the Fox School to help implement both a point system similar to that of MIS and an enhanced social media presence. The project was to be facilitated by faculty member Dr. Andrea Brooks-Lopez and guided by HRM staff. The major objectives given to me were:
– Crafting quizzes and HRM-related material to be used by students to refine their skills,
– Enhancing the department presence on Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+, and Twitter,
– Helping to modify the point system used in MIS to fit the unique needs of the HRM department, and
– Measuring the efficacy of the new system to emphasize strengths and reduce weaknesses.
The HRM internship went from June 2014 to the end of the Fall 2014 semester. A traditional internship format was chosen; 10 hours per week were worked in the HRM offices at Temple Main under the supervision of Deborah Donato and Dr. Brooks-Lopez.
