My biggest takeaway from this class was how to display data. I’ve seen data visualizations my whole life, but never knew how they were created. I learned most about Tableau, and how you can use it to display and analyze data. My biggest suggestion to a future student taking this class would be to know how to use Tableau.

A KPI I use everyday is my laptops battery percentage. It is specific because it is letting me know how much percentage I have left, and is measurable because it is telling me the number. I have not made any of these mistakes, but I feel like number 3 would be a very common mistake. I feel like many people do not believe they need to backup their data first, or don’t think to. I think simplifying the data is the most important principle. Without simplification, data would be complicated and difficult to follow. It’s one thing to have good data, but if nobody can understand it it does not matter how good the data is.
