Week 9 Written Assignment

In this assignment, assume your organization currently utilizes an unmanaged anti-virus solution (each workstation runs its own copy of anti-virus that updates and runs independently).

Discuss why this is not a best practice, and research other solutions, and recommend what you feel is the most robust solution.  Assume the organization has ~300 employees, operates in several locations, and has ~200 workstations and 20 servers providing various network services, such as Active Directory, file servers, print servers, intranet, etc.

Collect information for at least four enterprise-class solutions.  Identify the features these products have in common, and any unique features that set them apart.

Your written submission should include the following:

  • What is the business value of the features that are in common among the different products?
  • What is the business value of the unique features you found?
  • What features are unnecessary? Why?
