Academic Peer Advisor
As an Academic Peer Advisor, I assist Fox Advisors in providing new student orientation, lead presentations, registration workshops, make appointments, and answer phone calls.
I help new and returning students register for classes during orientation. I also give individual peer advice on effective time management, studying, and exam preparation. I have to Co-facilitate academic support workshops and act as a resource for all students that have academic-related concerns.
As Peer Advisors, we assist in a student’s transition into Temple University by sharing our strategies for academic success and knowledge of university resources. Help facilitate conversation between students and their assigned academic advisor. Help and understand Temple’s Degree Audit Reporting System (DARS). Answer general questions about degree requirements, academic support services, university policies, and procedures.
